Active Directory Import
The procedure enables the user to view the Active Directory structure to which the ARM server belongs and to have a list of users defined into the Windows Domain. If the ARM server belongs to a Workgroup, that procedure will not be able to view any information.
The form divides especially into two sections.
The section on the left, Domain, shows the hierarchical structure of the organizational unites, that are located into the Active Directory. During the selection of a node of the tree structure, the grid, contained in the section on the right, will show the users specified in that Organizational Unit. By selecting the main node, described with the DNS domain name, it will be possible to list all the domain users.
The section on the right represents the domain users to whom it is possible to apply some filters through check boxes:
- View not imported users: selected by default. It filters users, that have not yet been imported in ARM.
- View not synchronized users: it views the users, who have differences between the ARM and the Active Directory information.
- View synchronized users: it views the users, who have been imported and who are rightly synchronized.
